Who we are
tamos provides software tools for parents and guardians to organize homeschool records and generate outputs they choose to share. We are not a school, evaluator, counselor, or legal advisor. Parents control data and sharing decisions. We do not submit documents to third parties on your behalf.
What is tamos?
tamos™ is a private record-keeping and report-generation tool used by parents/guardians to organize their homeschooler’s education. Parents decide what to enter, generate, and share.
Who is tamos for?
tamos is for:
Homeschool families (K–12)
Families using education savings accounts or scholarships
Parents who want better records, transcripts, and portfolios
*Launching Soon: Co-ops, tutors, and consultants who support homeschoolers
Is tamos a curriculum?
No. tamos is not a curriculum. You still choose what and how you teach. tamos helps you:
Organize what you’re doing
Keep records
Build transcripts and portfolios
Plan next steps for each child
You can use any curriculum, method, or mix of resources with tamos.
Is tamos only for certain states?
tamos is designed to be useful in any state, but it includes extra support and guidance for states with more defined requirements or scholarship programs. Over time, more state-specific help and templates will be added.
What tamos is NOT
tamos is NOT a school, evaluator, counselor, healthcare provider, or legal advisor. We don’t verify the accuracy of records, certify compliance with any law, or submit anything on your behalf.
Using tamos Day to Day
What can I track in tamos?
You can track:
Courses and subjects
Hours and attendance
Assignments, tests, and projects
Activities, field trips, volunteering, and work
Notes, uploads, and links to student work
All of this information can be used later to build transcripts, summaries, and portfolios.
Do I have to log everything every day?
No. You can log as often or as simply as you like.
Some families enter a few key items each day.
Others sit down once a week and add a summary.
You can also batch-log work at the end of a term.
The more you log as you go, the easier it is to create complete records later.
Can students log their own work?
Note: We will be introducing student-facing portals during our next feature launch; students will be able to have their own dashboard (that you create and manage) and can see only what you allow.
At the time of this particular feature release: You control your own student’s access (within the limits you choose) to:
Mark tasks complete
Add notes or uploads
Help build their own record and portfolio
Parents always remain in control and can review and edit entries.
Does tamos replace my planner or spreadsheet?
Yes, it absolutely can, if you want. Some families move everything into tamos. Others keep a paper planner for daily details and use tamos for long-term records, transcripts, and portfolios.
Sharing & Outputs: Transcripts, Portfolios, and Records
Sharing & outputs
Parents choose what to share and with whom. ShareBundles and links are private by default, time-limited, and can be revoked. We never sell student data or use it for targeted ads.
Can tamos create a transcript for my high schooler?
Yes. tamos can help you create a transcript using the courses, grades, credits, and dates you’ve entered.
You can edit and approve everything before sharing.
You can print or download your transcript in a standard format.
Can tamos help with college applications?
tamos is not a college application service, but it can make applications easier by:
Providing organized transcripts
Listing courses, tests, and achievements
Helping you build a portfolio or activity list from your records

Can tamos help with evaluations or yearly reviews?
Yes. You can generate:
Summaries of courses and work completed
Attendance and hour summaries
Lists of activities, projects, service hours, etc.
These can be used to prepare for evaluations, reviews, and scholarship renewals.
What is a Student Legacy Profile™?
A Student Legacy Profile™ is a long-term record for each child. It gathers:

It becomes a single, growing view of your child’s homeschool story.

Does tamos work for all States?
Yes. tamos supports homeschool families across the 50 U.S. states by letting parents configure records, reports, and exports to match state-specific requirements. Parents remain in control of what’s shared and when; tamos provides tools and templates but does not file documents or share such- on your behalf.

Is AI making decisions for my child?
No. AI does not make decisions for your child. It:

Drafts text you can edit or ignore
Parents remain fully responsible for all choices.
Can I see and edit everything AI creates?
Yes. Anything AI creates is shown to you as a draft.
You can edit, accept, or delete it.
Nothing is final until you decide.
Is my child’s data used to train AI for other users?
Absolutely not! No personally identifiable student data should be used to train models for other users. tamos is designed with privacy in mind. See the main Privacy Policy and AI-Disclosure on the App or website (footer) for full details.
Data, Privacy, and Security
Children’s privacy
A parent/guardian must create the account for any child user and provide consent. Parents can review, export, and delete a child’s data in Settings.
Parents own the records they add. tamos only processes this data to run the app and create outputs you request. You can export or delete your data at any time. Privacy Policy
Who can see my family’s data?
By default:
You (the account owner) can see everything for your family.
Students can see only what you allow.
Co-op tutors, evaluators, and/ or consultants only see what you choose to share with them.
Is our data encrypted and protected?
Yes. tamos uses industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data in transit and at rest. For technical details, see the Security page on the website.
How does tamos protect my family’s data?
tamos uses modern, cloud-based infrastructure and multiple layers of protection to safeguard your data:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- Role-based access controls so only authorized team members can see limited information needed to support the product
- Secure authentication and session management
- Regular monitoring and logging for unusual activity
- Data backups to reduce risk of data loss
We never sell your personal information, and we only share data with trusted service providers who help us run the platform (such as authentication, databases, and payment processing). Details are listed in our Privacy Policy.
Can I download or export my data?
You can export key records such as:
Transcripts
Summaries
- Reports and Projects- business and/or portfolios and more.
Future updates may add more export options as the platform grows.
What happens to my data if I stop using tamos?
Your data is handled according to tamos’ privacy policy and cancellation policies, which are explained in detail on the website. In general, you’ll be able to export key records before closing your account.
Co-ops, Tutors, Evaluators, College Admissions, and Consultants
Can co-ops, microschools, and schools use tamos?
Yes, BUT not with this version. Coming next: v2.5 Enterprise, built specifically for enterprise-level customers, with additional features that support how large organizations manage multi-program or multi-campus school operations.
Can a tutor or consultant use tamos with multiple families?
Yes, but not with this version, but our next V.2 extension launch. Educational consultants, evaluators, and tutors will soon be able to:
Work with multiple students
Help families plan and document learning
Use tamos as a shared planning and record-keeping tool
All consultants will only see the families who invite them.
Can co-ops, tutors, evaluators, college consultants, or any education institutions everything about my child?
No. No person(s) or institution-entity can see any information about your student and can only see the information you choose to share with them. Parents remain in control of their data and access, at all times.
Getting Started
How hard is it to set up?
Most families can:

Set up a term
Add a few courses
Log first entries
within a short session. You can grow your records over time; you do not have to enter everything from past years on day one.
Do I have to enter past years?
No, you do not have to. You can:
Start fresh from this term onward, or
Gradually add past courses and years when you have time
Many families start from the current year and then work backward later.
Do I need to be “tech savvy” to use tamos?
No. tamos is designed for non-technical users.
Menus are simple and clearly labeled.
AI features are optional and explained in plain language.
You can start with basic features and explore more as you get comfortable.

What devices does tamos work on?
tamos is an App and can be downloaded via all App stores, or you can simply just use our web-based platform that works best in a modern browser on:

Tablets
Current smartphones
An internet connection is required.
Do I need to install anything?
If you prefer and use your mobile device frequently, you can easily download our tamos App (launching soon on the Apple App store or Google Play) OR you can log in through your browser.
