Who We Are

tamos AI is a brand product of **Brandmerce, LLC** ("tamos," "we," "us," or "our").

We provide parent-controlled homeschool recordkeeping and proof-building software, including Student Profiles, Portfolios, projects, records, transcripts, exports, and optional AI-assisted tools.

This AI Disclosures page explains what AI may do, what information may be processed, what AI does not verify, and the controls available to families.

1. AI Is an Assistant, Not the Owner of the Record

The Parent Administrator controls the family workspace and decides whether to use supported AI features.

AI may help organize or draft information. AI does not become the owner of a student's work, Portfolio, transcript, or record.

The family's private workspace remains subject to the Parent Administrator's access and sharing controls described in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. AI and the Portfolio Builder

AI may assist with Portfolio and proof-building workflows by:

- drafting a project title or description;

- summarizing a project, activity, or artifact;

- suggesting subjects, categories, skills, or tags;

- organizing selected evidence;

- helping turn notes into a structured Project Card;

- drafting a student reflection prompt;

- identifying information visible in a supported image or document;

- connecting authorized records to a draft Student Profile;

- suggesting which projects may be relevant to a selected path; or

- helping prepare a draft export, summary, or packet.

The Parent Administrator and student, where Student Access is enabled, should review AI-assisted Portfolio Content before it is saved, relied upon, published, or shared.

3. Student Access to AI

A Parent Administrator may choose to permit a student to use approved AI features within the student's authorized workspace.

Student AI access is permission-based and may be limited by feature, age, plan, safety controls, or Parent Administrator settings.

The Parent Administrator may revoke Student Access or AI permissions.

Where applicable law requires parental notice or verifiable parental consent before personal information is collected directly from a child under 13, tamos may require the applicable consent process before enabling direct student AI interaction.

4. What AI Can Do

Depending on the feature, AI may:

- create draft summaries or descriptions;

- organize selected records;

- draft checklists;

- suggest informational next steps;

- suggest project categories or skill labels;

- format selected information into draft reports or outputs;

- draft course or syllabus-related text;

- summarize selected Portfolio Content; and

- answer informational questions based on available context and sources.

5. What AI Does Not Do

AI does not independently:

- verify that a student personally completed a project;

- certify authorship or originality;

- conduct a definitive plagiarism determination;

- verify a student's stated hours;

- validate a credential or certification unless a specific verification integration expressly says it does;

- certify mastery of a skill;

- certify legal homeschool compliance;

- guarantee transcript acceptance;

- guarantee college admission, scholarship, apprenticeship, employment, or business outcomes;

- make a regulated admissions, employment, lending, medical, or legal decision on behalf of a third party; or

- submit documents to a third party unless a separate feature and written terms expressly say otherwise.

6. AI Outputs Are Drafts

AI can make mistakes, omit context, misread an image, misunderstand student work, apply an incorrect tag, or provide outdated information.

Treat AI output as a draft for review.

The Parent Administrator remains responsible for reviewing records and outputs before they are used or shared.

Where a student is permitted to create AI-assisted content, the Parent Administrator remains responsible for the permissions and final sharing decisions associated with the family workspace.

7. Data AI May Process

AI features may process only information made available to the applicable feature, which may include:

- prompts;

- courses and grades;

- activity logs;

- project records;

- Portfolio Content;

- images or documents;

- student reflections;

- transcripts;

- selected Student Profile information;

- voice transcripts where voice features are used; or

- other Family Content authorized for the feature.

AI does not have permission to access another family's private workspace.

8. AI Providers and Subprocessors

We may use third-party AI providers as subprocessors.

We take steps to contractually restrict providers from using private tamos workspace content to train public foundation models, subject to the specific provider arrangement and applicable law.

Where technically supported, we seek to limit unnecessary provider retention.

We may use de-identified or aggregated technical telemetry to improve product reliability, safety, and performance where permitted by law.

9. No Public Model Training on Private Family Content

tamos does not use private Family Content to train public AI models for unrelated users.

This includes private Portfolio Content, transcripts, grades, and private student records.

If we ever offer an optional program that would use identifiable Family Content for model training beyond providing the Services, we would provide a separate disclosure and seek consent where required by law.

10. Source Transparency and Verification

Where available, tamos may reference public or authoritative sources to support informational suggestions.

Requirements can change and may vary by state, school, college, scholarship program, trade organization, employer, credentialing body, or other institution.

Families must verify critical requirements directly with the relevant official source before acting or submitting records.

11. AI, Skills, and Proof

AI may suggest that a project appears to involve a skill, competency, subject, or category.

A suggested skill label is an organizational aid. It is not a professional certification, employer validation, academic accreditation, or independent verification of mastery.

The Parent Administrator should confirm that a skill label accurately reflects the underlying evidence before publishing or sharing it.

12. AI-Assisted Student Work

tamos may allow a student to document the use of AI within a project.

The family is responsible for accurately describing how AI was used and for complying with the rules of any school, college, competition, employer, scholarship program, credentialing organization, or other recipient.

AI-assisted work should not be represented as entirely unaided student work when that representation would be false or misleading.

13. Sharing AI-Generated or AI-Assisted Content

Before sharing an AI-generated draft or AI-assisted Portfolio item, review the content for:

- accuracy;

- personal or sensitive information;

- inappropriate inferences;

- incorrect skill tags;

- false claims of authorship or originality;

- unsupported outcomes or metrics;

- outdated requirements; and

- information the intended recipient does not need.

Where available, use field-selection, redaction, privacy, or share-control tools.

14. Safety and Moderation

We may use safety filters, abuse detection, access restrictions, or throttling to reduce harmful, exploitative, illegal, or inappropriate use.

We may block or restrict AI use that creates a child-safety, security, legal, or abuse risk.

15. AI Logs and History

Prompts and outputs may be retained within the family workspace to provide history or continuity where the feature is designed to do so.

Technical logs may be maintained for security, usage limits, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and system reliability.

Retention is governed by the Privacy Policy.

16. No Professional Advice

AI output is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or other regulated professional advice.

Do not rely on tamos AI for emergency, safety-critical, or medical decisions.
