tamos AI Cookie Policy

Last Updated: July 9, 2026

1. Who We Are

tamos AI is a brand product of **Brandmerce, LLC** ("tamos," "we," "us," or "our").

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on tamos websites and applications (the "Services"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small files stored on a browser or device. We may also use local storage, software development kit technologies, pixels, session identifiers, or similar tools.

For purposes of this Policy, we refer to these technologies collectively as "cookies."

3. How We Use Cookies

A. Strictly Necessary Cookies

We may use cookies that are necessary to:

- authenticate Parent Administrators and Authorized Users;

- maintain secure sessions;

- maintain Student Access sessions authorized by a Parent Administrator;

- enforce access permissions;

- prevent fraud or abuse;

- apply rate limits;

- maintain security; and

- provide requested features.

These cookies may be required for the Services to function.

B. Preference Cookies

We may use cookies to remember user-selected settings such as interface preferences, language, display preferences, or similar settings.

C. Performance and Limited Analytics

We may use limited analytics to understand feature performance, errors, page usage, and general product reliability.

We seek to minimize analytics associated with private student-record and Portfolio workflows. We do not use private Portfolio Content, grades, transcripts, project evidence, or student records to build advertising profiles. Where required by law, non-essential analytics will be subject to consent or opt-out controls.

D. Marketing Cookies

We do not use private student records or Portfolio Content for targeted advertising to students.

The public tamos marketing website may use marketing technologies where disclosed in the consent interface and permitted by law. Marketing cookies should not be placed on private student workspace pages for the purpose of behavioral advertising to children.

4. Student Access and Children's Privacy

Student Access is established by a Parent Administrator.

Cookies used to authenticate or secure a Student Access session are used to provide the authorized service, protect the account, and enforce permissions.

We do not use Student Access cookies to build behavioral advertising profiles of children.

Where COPPA applies, our handling of children's personal information is also governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable parental notice and consent requirements.

5. Portfolio and Share Pages

Private Portfolio pages within the family workspace may use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, access control, security, and session continuity.

A Parent Administrator may choose to create a shareable or public Portfolio or Student Profile where the feature is available.

Public or shareable pages may use limited security, abuse-prevention, and performance technologies. We do not use the student's private Portfolio Content to target advertisements to the student.

6. AI Features and Cookies

AI features do not require third-party advertising cookies to analyze authorized workspace content.

Cookies associated with AI features may be used for authentication, session continuity, feature state, abuse prevention, security, or rate-limit protection.

We do not use cookies to create behavioral profiles of children based on their AI prompts or Portfolio Content for targeted advertising.

7. Managing Cookies

You may manage cookies through:

- our cookie consent or preference tool, where available;

- your browser settings; or

- device settings.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent authentication, Student Access, Portfolio editing, sharing controls, or other Services from functioning correctly.

8. Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Signals

Where applicable law requires recognition of Global Privacy Control ("GPC") or a similar legally recognized preference signal, we will process the signal in accordance with applicable law for the applicable browser or device.

9. Third-Party Providers

We may use service providers that set or access cookies or similar technologies to provide hosting, authentication, security, payments, communications, performance, or analytics services.

Their use of information is also governed by applicable contractual restrictions and their own privacy practices.

10. Cookie Retention

Session cookies typically expire when the session ends or the browser is closed, subject to the applicable technology.

Persistent cookies remain for the period configured for the applicable purpose or until deleted or blocked by the user.

We seek to use reasonable retention periods and avoid unnecessary persistence.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date identifies the current version.
