tamos AI Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 9, 2026

  1. Introduction

tamos AI is a brand product of Brandmerce, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Brandmerce," "tamos AI," "tamos," "we," "us," or "our").

We provide parent-controlled software that helps homeschool families organize records and build a living body of proof around a student's work through Student Profiles, Portfolio Content, projects, transcripts, activities, reports, and related tools.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the tamos websites, applications, Portfolio Builder, Student Profiles, AI features, sharing tools, and related services (the "Services").

  1. Our Parent-Controlled Data Model

tamos is designed around a parent-controlled family workspace.

A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult (the "Parent Administrator") establishes the primary family account and controls student records, permissions, and sharing within that workspace.

The Parent Administrator may choose to grant a student permission-based access to authorized portions of the student's own profile or Portfolio ("Student Access"). The Parent Administrator may change or revoke Student Access and controls whether private records, transcripts, Portfolio Content, or other proof-building records are shared outside the family workspace, subject to applicable law.

No school, scholarship program, college, employer, evaluator, co-op, government agency, or other institution receives automatic access to a family's private tamos workspace solely because the family uses tamos.

We may receive transaction information such as subscription status, payment status, purchase amount, billing period, and limited payment metadata.

  1. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • create and maintain family accounts and Student Access;

  • organize homeschool records;

  • create and maintain Student Profiles;

  • operate the Portfolio Builder and proof-building tools;

  • store and organize Portfolio Content;

  • connect projects, records, activities, skills, and other evidence;

  • protect students, families, tamos, and other users.

We do not sell personal information for money.

We do not use a student's private Portfolio Content, academic records, or private workspace activity for targeted advertising to the student.

We do not use private Family Content to train public foundation models for unrelated users.

  1. Parent Administrator Rights and Controls

Subject to applicable law and feature availability, the Parent Administrator may:

  • review student records;

  • review Portfolio Content;

  • add, edit, or remove Family Content;

  • approve or remove Student Access;

  • change student permissions;

  • invite or remove Authorized Users;

  • export transcripts, portfolios, records, or other outputs;

  • create, revoke, or unpublish supported share links;

  • download Portfolio materials;

  • request account or student-data deletion; and

  • close the family account.

The Parent Administrator is responsible for deciding what information to share with third parties.

  1. Student Access and Children's Information

tamos is designed for parent-directed use. A child does not independently create the primary family account.

A Parent Administrator may choose to give a student permission-based Student Access so the student can contribute to the student's own profile, Portfolio, projects, and other approved parts of the Services.

For children under 13, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") may require notice to a parent and verifiable parental consent before certain personal information is collected directly from the child.

Where COPPA applies, tamos may require a parental notice and consent process before enabling direct Student Access or before enabling a feature that directly collects covered personal information from a child under 13.

A Parent Administrator may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of personal information collected from a child, subject to applicable law and necessary account or security requirements.

We do not knowingly condition a child's participation on providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the applicable feature.

We do not use children's personal information for targeted advertising.

  1. Portfolio Privacy and Publication

Private Portfolio Content is intended to remain within the parent-controlled workspace unless the Parent Administrator authorizes access, export, publication, or sharing.

A student cannot independently publish the family's complete private record or transcript unless the Parent Administrator has enabled the applicable permission.

The Parent Administrator may choose to create a shareable or public Student Profile or Portfolio where that feature is available.

Before making a Portfolio or Student Profile public, the Parent Administrator should carefully review the content and remove information that is not necessary for the intended audience.

Publicly shared content can be copied, photographed, downloaded, indexed, retained, or redistributed by third parties. Revoking a tamos link or unpublishing a page may stop future access through tamos but cannot retrieve copies previously retained outside the Services.

  1. How Information May Be Disclosed

We may disclose information in the following situations.

A. At the Parent Administrator's Direction

We may disclose selected information when the Parent Administrator uses a feature to invite, export, publish, or share information with a recipient selected by the Parent Administrator.

Recipients may include students, co-parents, guardians, evaluators, schools, scholarship programs, colleges, trade programs, employers, mentors, consultants, family members, or others chosen by the Parent Administrator.

B. Service Providers and Subprocessors

We may use service providers to operate the Services, such as:

  • cloud hosting and storage providers;

  • authentication and security providers;

  • payment processors;

  • email or communication providers;

  • AI providers;

  • analytics and performance providers; and

  • customer support or infrastructure providers.

We require service providers to process information for authorized purposes and apply safeguards appropriate to the services they provide.

C. Legal and Safety Requirements

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request;

  • protect the rights, safety, or security of a child or another person;

  • investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;

  • protect the Services; or

  • enforce our agreements.

Where legally permitted and appropriate, we may seek to notify the Parent Administrator of a legal request.

D. Business Transactions

If Brandmerce, LLC is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and continued handling consistent with applicable privacy obligations.

  1. AI Processing

AI features may process selected Family Content to provide requested features.

AI may help draft, summarize, classify, organize, or tag Portfolio Content and records. AI may also produce informational suggestions.

AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before use or sharing.

We do not represent that AI verifies the authenticity, originality, authorship, accuracy, legal sufficiency, admissions value, employment value, or skill level associated with Portfolio Content.

Additional information appears in the AI Disclosures.

  1. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not use student Portfolio Content or private student records to create targeted advertising profiles.

  1. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections, authentication controls, system monitoring, and other security practices appropriate to the Services.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

The Parent Administrator is responsible for keeping credentials secure and reviewing Authorized Users.

  1. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain the family workspace, satisfy the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

We seek to avoid retaining children's personal information indefinitely when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

When the Parent Administrator requests deletion of an account or student record, we will delete or de-identify information as required by applicable law and our retention procedures, subject to limited retention in backups, security logs, financial records, fraud-prevention records, or other records that must be retained for legitimate legal or operational purposes.

Cancellation of a subscription does not automatically delete the family workspace. See the Cancellation & Renewal Policy.

Parents should export records they wish to preserve before requesting deletion.

  1. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable state privacy law applies to tamos, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of certain personal information, and to appeal certain privacy decisions.

You may also have rights relating to the sale, sharing, or targeted advertising use of personal information.

tamos does not sell student personal information for money and does not use private student records or Portfolio Content for targeted advertising to the student.

To submit a privacy request, email info@tamos.ai with the subject line Privacy Request. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the applicable account or student record before completing a request.

  1. FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA") generally applies to educational agencies and institutions that receive funds under programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education.

Parent-directed use of tamos does not, by itself, make tamos a school or make every family workspace subject to FERPA.

If a FERPA-covered institution uses tamos under a separate institutional agreement, additional contractual and privacy terms may apply.

  1. Adult Students

When a student reaches the age of majority or otherwise obtains privacy rights under applicable law, the student may have rights that cannot be waived by the Parent Administrator.

Where required by law, we may request updated permissions, consent, verification, or an account transition.

  1. International Use

The Services are operated from the United States. If you use the Services from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where authorized service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

  1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

We will provide notice of material changes as required by law. The "Last Updated" date identifies the current version.
